The Cadence Xlerator-8 is an 8" active subwoofer enclosure. It has a high performance 8" subwoofer that performs like a 12". With a 2" Kapton high power, dual 2-ohm voice coil, the Xlerator-8 handles a continuous 160 Watts RMS with a peak of 360 Watts. The woofer cone consists of a talc filled polypropylene and has a butyl rubber surround. It has a heavy-duty 30 oz magnet motor structure and a stamped steel frame with a chromed back plate. Built to a 4th order bandpass design, this enclosure is acoustically matched. It is a durable, reinforced enclosure which is wrapped in an aviation grade carpet with the Cadence logo embroidered on top. Assembled with a contoured acrylic viewing window, one can view the magnificently illuminated white LED spotlight against the glass mirrored chamber. Measuring 13.58" (L) x 15.36 (W) x 11.62" (H), this compact size along with a wedge design, allows for easy installation, as it can fit in small places and against most seat backs.The amplifier on the Xlerator-8 is a performance matched Class B design with an auto-start music sense incorporated into the circuit. It contains both Low Level Inputs, for RCA's with an input impedance of 10k ohms, and High Level Input, for Speaker Out on the head unit with an input impedance of 2k ohms. There is a variable input level control ranging from 50mV – 3V, a variable phase control of 0 – 180°, and a variable low pass electronic crossover frequency control ranging from 70Hz – 200Hz. The crossover slope is 6dB per octave and the signal-to-noise ratio is >72dB. For protections, there is also a 7.5A ATO fuse on the board. This product is covered by a two (2) year warranty.
